HABC Does Not Tolerate Sexual Harassment

HABC is aware of the recent story by “The Baltimore Sun” about alleged sexual harassment. HABC cares deeply about the well-being of all staff, public housing residents and voucher participants.

HABC does not tolerate sexual harassment. The agency investigates any sexual harassment complaint it receives and takes appropriate disciplinary action against any employee found to have engaged in sexual harassment. HABC also holds annual sexual harassment trainings for its employees and sends annual notices to employees, residents and participants about HABC’s sexual harassment policies and protocols. In addition, posters explaining rights and responsibilities regarding sexual harassment are placed in the management office at each development.

Staff and residents who believe they have been victims of sexual harassment should contact the HABC Internal Audits and Investigation Unit at 410-545-6111, as well as the Baltimore City Police Department.
