Organized Voices March!

Although the invitation is open to all, the Resident Advisory Board of Baltimore City has appealed to residents in their community to let their voices be heard on Wednesday April 25th! The recent news from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requiring PHA's to develop and implement policy prohibiting the use of tobacco products in living units and other restricted areas has the Board concerned. "We want to shed light on bigger issues," says Sharon Jones, Policy Chairperson of Bel Park Towers. RAB President, Ella Broadway explains that by organizing this March, "We are hoping our voices will be heard and they will rethink the decision."

The march will take place at the new HUD office located at 100 S. Charles Street in Baltimore, between the hours of 11A.M. and 1P.M.

Lights! Camera! Action!

The Resident Advisory Board (RAB) likes to put their best foot forward! A recent photoshoot was aimed to update current online images – see them HERE. The spirit of their passion for the residents they serve was captured, along with some pretty bright smiles!

HABC’s RAD Program Receives Award from the Maryland State DHCD

HABC and DHCD will receive an award for "Excellence in Project Design and Creativity" for Baltimore City's RAD development projects on Friday, April 13th at the Maryland State Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) Annual Breakfast Celebration. Secretary Kenneth Holt and his staff nominated HABC and DHCD for the award because of the positive impact RAD has had on City neighborhoods. Hollins House received this same award a few years ago.

Congratulations to HABC and DHCD!
