HABC to Launches Its Brand-New Look!

(Baltimore, MD - March 29, 2018) —Today, after decades of being under the umbrella of Baltimore Housing, the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC) is announcing the rebrand of the agency! HABC’s new brand identity reinforces the agency’s commitment to its mission, which is to create and provide quality affordable housing opportunities in sustainable neighborhoods for the people it serves. The updated look will include a new logo, color palette, and font, which will be placed on everything from stationary to signage and from vehicle decals to uniforms.

“HABC’s new brand is fresh, bright and modern, and reflects the forward motion of where the agency is going,” said HABC Executive Director Janet Abrahams. “We’re building and sustaining affordable housing communities, improving customer service, strengthening our partnerships, and finding new ways to communicate and connect with residents, staff, and stakeholders. The new look represents new beginnings for HABC and will help our agency stand out as a leading provider of affordable housing. Our goal with the new logo design is to convey that our door is always open to the people we serve.”

At the start of Executive Director Abrahams’ tenure in July 2017, HABC was separated from Baltimore Housing to stand alone as a self-governing agency. With this division, it was necessary for HABC to create a new identity. In September 2017, the agency unveiled its new mission, vision and goals, which clearly defined HABC’s purpose. Shortly thereafter, HABC began to develop a permanent brand that would support the agency’s goals, known as the Four Cs of HABC - Community, Customer Service, Collaboration and Communication.

Over the past several months, HABC has made tremendous progress in improving the way it operates and serves HABC public housing residents and Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) participants. During HABC’s All Staff meeting that will convene more than 750 employees today, Executive Director Abrahams will launch the new brand, share new initiatives and programs, and announce plans to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the agency, which will be released later this year.
